In the calm of the night, Baker Street Station's Hammersmith & City Line platform stands abandoned, devoid of commuters. It's a scene of serene emptiness, with the benches awaiting the return of daily travellers. This platform is a testament to history, adorned with unique tile work and intricate deep-level roof designs that defy the conventional underground's sombreness.

This photograph offers a glimpse into the past, as Baker Street Station is one of the original stations of the Metropolitan Railway, the world's first underground railway, inaugurated on 10 January 1863. It's a living relic, preserving the legacy of urban transportation.
